Two things that make a big difference:

  • Place it against a wall. On smooth floors it can creep forward while you pedal. A wall behind it fixes that instantly.
  • Chair height matters. Aim for a seat where your hips and knees are roughly at a right angle. A dining chair usually works perfectly.
