Description

Legs that feel lighter by the end of the day. Rest that actually feels restful. That's what elevation can work towards.

Swollen, heavy legs at the end of the day or in the weeks following surgery is one of those things that sounds minor but can affect everything. Sleep quality, comfort, and how you feel getting through each day.

Elevating your legs is one of the simplest things you can do to help manage swelling. The problem with regular pillows? They flatten, shift, and never quite get the angle right.

This inflatable wedge holds a consistent elevation exactly where you need it and when you're done, it deflates and packs flat. Ready for home, hospital, or travel.

Who is This For?

This may suit you if:

  • You're recovering from hip, knee, ankle, or foot surgery and have been advised to elevate your legs
  • You experience leg swelling after long periods on your feet
  • You want a travel-ready elevation solution for hospital stays or time away from home
  • You're tired of stacking regular pillows that don't hold their shape
  • You want something that stores away when not in use rather than taking up permanent space

Always follow the specific elevation instructions from your surgeon or physiotherapist after any procedure.

Inflatable Leg Wedge - Less Swelling, Better Rest

Why we like this

Leg elevation is a simple, commonly recommended approach post surgery, after long days on your feet, or for anyone managing swelling or circulation concerns in their lower limbs. The consistent problem is that regular pillows are a poor substitute. They flatten, shift, and don't hold the right angle.

This one packs flat, which is the detail that makes it genuinely useful. It goes into a hospital bag before surgery, travels with you, and stores in a drawer when not needed unlike a foam wedge that takes up permanent space.

The physio behind the store

I built this store because I was already recommending this equipment in sessions every day. As a mobile physio working in people's homes, I know what actually fits a real living room, a real bedroom, a real kitchen and what older adults will actually use.

Everything here has been in my kit bag, used with real clients, and chosen because it works in the home environment, not just in a clinic.

Physio pro tip

Getting the most from leg elevation:

  • Elevation works best when legs are above heart level — lying flat with legs on the wedge achieves this well
  • Elevate for at least 20 to 30 minutes at a time and aim for a few sessions through the day, not just at night
  • Place it at the foot of the bed so it's ready to use when you wake or rest rather than having to set it up each time
  • The wedge is firmer than foam pillows — if it feels too hard against bare skin, a thin blanket over it helps
  • Post-surgery — always follow your surgeon or physiotherapist's specific elevation protocol; requirements vary by procedure

Consistency makes the difference with elevation. Short regular sessions throughout the day are more effective than one long session.

What makes us different

Everything on this store is something we actually use. It's in our kit bag — we bring it into real sessions with real clients, week after week. If it's here, it's because we've tried it, trusted it, and watched it make a genuine difference.

We're not trying to sell you everything. The range is curated for older adults building strength and independence at home, and simplicity is the whole point. You don't need a home gym. You don't need to be an expert.

As a mobile physio practice, we can only reach so many people in person. This store is how we share what works with everyone else.

Why it matters

Movement keeps you going

57%
of Australians aged 65+ didn't meet physical activity guidelines
AIHW analysis of ABS NHS, 2022
65+
As we get older, staying active keeps you independent and able to do everyday activities
NSW Health, Physical activity guidelines for older adults
30min
of moderate to vigorous activity on most days is what Australian guidelines recommend for 65+
Australian movement guidelines for older adults, 2026

The evidence is clear: it is never too late to start. A few minutes of movement most days adds up to something real over time. You don't need a gym, a trainer, or a complicated programme. You need simple equipment that works at home and a reason to pick it up.

The evidence

Three things regular movement may help maintain

  • Muscle Strength
We naturally lose muscle mass as we age. Resistance exercise is one of the most effective tools for slowing that process — at any age.
  • Balance & Stability
Balance responds well to regular practice. Simple exercises done consistently can make a meaningful difference to how steady you feel day to day.
  • Independence at Home
People over 65 benefit more from adequate fitness than any other age group — to maintain independence, recover from illness, and reduce disease risk.
